Setting up Stripe

Stripe is a payment processor that allows you to accept credit/debit card payments from across the globe with ease. SellSN supports the ability to link your own Stripe account and enjoy absolutely zero fees in the process.

Note down your Stripe API keys

Let's get started, the process is relatively straight-forward to follow.

Get your live mode publishable key and secret key from Stripe
SellSN needs your API keys from your Stripe account to function, you can get them in the Stripe Dashboard by heading over to the top right corner and clicking "Developers"

Then you need to head over to the "API keys" section and find your "Publishable key", it should start with pk_live_. Note down the key and keep it somewhere safe as you need it later on.

Now you have the publishable key, you need to note down the secret key. Find the "Secret key" and then click the "Reveal live key" button.

⚠️ Your secret key is supposed to be secret and therefore do not share it with anyone. We encrypt your secret key with your user account so not even SellSN can read it.

Now, you'll get this scary warning notifying you of the dangerous action, click on the "Reveal" button to reveal the secret key, you may need to confirm your identity with an authenticator app or biometrics, then note it down and keep it somewhere safe as you need it later on.

Keep the Stripe dashboard open, as we'll need it later on in the setup process.

Begin setting up Stripe with SellSN
Now we need to give the previous API keys to SellSN so that your Stripe integration can be used by customers. Firstly, you need to head over to your account settings, you can do this by clicking "Account" on the bottom left corner of the screen on the SellSN dashboard.

Then find the "Stripe" option on the right hand side of the screen, there should be a button labelled as "Connect", click on that to start the setup process.

Now, enter the publishable key and secret key we collected earlier into the relevant text boxes and click "Next" to finalize the setup process and validate your API keys.

At this point, you're good to go - Happy selling!
