List of supported payment methods

As of writing (11/03/2024), we support 21 different payment methods. Find below a table of all the supported methods and their respective additional fees. All cryptocurrency gateways are limited to a base $1.00 order total cost, but some may have higher limits due to high network fees.

Why do we take additional fees for cryptocurrencies?

SellSN is required to take a tiny additional fee for cryptocurrencies to fund for network and transaction fees. The amount depends on the actual cryptocurrency chosen since some have lower fees than others (LTC vs BTC, for example). The lowest fee amount out of all the cryptocurrencies is Litecoin (LTC).

What is PayPal friends & family?

PayPal friends & family is a payment mechanism provided by PayPal that makes it much harder for customers to dispute transactions by marking sent funds as "Friends and family".

| 💡 Whilst it is much harder to dispute a transaction that was sent as friends & family, it is not impossible and can still be done.

Link PayPal to your SellSN account

This setup will enable basic PayPal payments on your store, although if you wish to use PayPal Friends & Family (F&F) you must perform the additional setup in the below section.

Start the connection process Go to the bottom left of your screen and click on the "Account" tab.

In "Account", on the right hand side you should see the "PayPal" option, click the "Connect" button.

Get your forwarding address A new dialog should appear, ensure you check "Enable friends and family payments" and enter the correct email **that is on your PayPal

What is Cash App?

Cash App is a personal payment processing service that allows you to easily transfer funds between friends or businesses in the US or UK with no chargebacks. SellSN allows you to leverage Cash App to make automatic payments on SellSN with ease.

Setting up Cash App

Configuring and enabling Cash App is super simple and quick to do, follow the below steps to quickly get Cash App enabled on your store.

||| 🚧 Cash App with SellSN is only available with US Cash App accounts and stores with the US dollar ($) set as their preferred currency.

Get your SellSN email address You need an email address issued and controlled by SellSN in-order to receive notifications from Cash App about payments. Let's go over to SellSN and start the setup process so we can get going.

Firstly, head over to your "Account" page and then find the "Cash App" option and click "Connect".

You should see a new dialog appear, in this dialog enter your Cash Tag in the input labelled as such and then click "Next".

You'll now be given your SellSN-issued email address, copy it down as you'll need it for the next step and do not continue to the next step until you're told to in a later step No

What is automatic migrations?

Some alternate e-commerce platforms provide a system to allow us to migrate your products and even reviews over to SellSN. The following platforms are supported by SellSN and provide automatic migration with your API key:

Sellix (supports reviews and products)
Sell.app (supports products)
Sellpass (supports products)

| 💡 If you are not using any of the supported platforms, contact our support team - we will migrate them for you.

What we can migrate

Some platforms provide us more details than others when it comes to their API, at best we can migrate the following:

How can I use the automatic migration system?

It's easy! Follow the below steps and you can migrate your data from your old platform over to SellSN.

Enter the migration wizard Head over to your "Account settings" page on the SellSN dashboard, then click on the "Start migration" button under the "Migrate from another platform" label.

Connecting a custom domain to your store via Namecheap

What is a custom domain?

A custom domain refers to having your SellSN seller page on your own domain to add an extra bit of personality, with this guide you can connect a custom domain to your store and be up and running within 24 hours.

How to connect one?

Get your domain ready You'll need to own a domain in-order to use the feature, you can acquire one at Namecheap or any other provider of your choice. This guide is for Namecheap configuration only, other providers may differ.
Configure your domain with SellSN Head over to the SellSN dashboard and select the store you wish to add the custom domain to in the top left corner of your screen, then you need to head over to the "Personalize" page and then the "Custom domain" card. Click the "Enable custom domain" button to open the setup wizard.

Once you're in the setup wizard, enter your custom domain (e.g, example.com) in the text box labelled "Domain", then click "Next".

Integrating your Discord server with SellSN

What are the benefits?

Adding the SellSN Discord bot to your server allows you to connect with your customers on a more personal level by adding them to your Discord server of choice and optionally granting them more permissions with a role, here are some more benefits:

Removal from your server when the customer is blacklisted;
Automatically add the user to the server with no invite links and;
Optionally grant them extra permissions depending on the product.

How can I set it up?

It's easy, the system works on a per-product basis so each product can be setup to join a different server or grant a different role, here's a simple guide on how to set the system up.

||| ⚠️ You will need the "Manage server" permission in your Discord server to add the bot and set it up.

Find the product to integrate Head over to your products section and find the product you wish to integrate with the system and click on "Edit product" when you find the one you want.
Add the bot to your server Now, scroll down to the bottom of the edit product page and select "Delivery settings" and then "Discord", then click on the "Add bot" button.

You'll be redirected to Discord, then you need to select the server to add the bot to and click "Continue" and then "Authorize".
